Hello friends.
Confession: I’ve completely fallen off the work out wagon. I really don’t know how it happened. I was so excited to go to the gym! I really thought this was it. Alas, I was wrong. I don’t know if it’s the season change or what, but I really have no want or desire to do ANYTHING. It’s kind of sad. And slightly depressing. Hopefully, I’ll come out of my funk soon.
Big shout out to Joan though, who’s doing her thing in the gym! I’m so proud of you!!!!
LOL @ “Alas…” Who says that word but you? Well, at least you haven’t lost your sense of humor. I’m sure you will get back on that horse soon and ride, Sally, ride!
Thanks for the shout out. Honestly, I think if I hadn’t switched gym memberships to one that offers group fitness I would probably not be as motivated either. I used to lose interest in working out after two weeks but I’ve been going strong about two months now. Even I’m shocked at myself. Sen is pretty proud of me too. He’s about to start working out himself. Hitting the gym is officially my “me” time…and those who know me know it’s all about me. LOL. I love going to Latin and HipHop class…the Solid Gold dancer that lives inside me gets to dance her little heart out. I crack inside jokes to myself about the folks who look utterly ridiculous in class (myself included). Also, I’m making friends there. I get to sit in the sauna, there’s a dozen or so classes to choose from, etc, etc. I just love it, I guess that’s why I don’t dread it anymore…it’s too much f-ing fun. It’s makes me sad to miss a day.
I encourage you and anyone else whose lost their spark to get your game face back on and start thinking about the long term effects of working out, my friend. Sure, I’m walking with a limp today because Mondays’s Spin Class kicked my a$$. BUT, my legs and upper bootimus maximus are going to be so tight, so firm, and soooo sexiphonious when I puts on my sexy dresses next summer.
So, not only should you think about how great you will look and feel but think about that gorgeous yellow dress in the back of your closet that’s begging to be worn again and again.
